Our Story

Noor Ali Memorial Society is a registered non-profit, nongovernment organization based in the Sundarban region established in the year of 1996  with a view to undertaking relief, rehabilitation, and empowering the underprivileged & vulnerable sections of the society, through the provision of awareness building on different issues, Institutional care, Right based campaign, Skill development Vocational Training, Disaster Risk Mitigation Programme. Noor Ali Memorial Society also runs shelter homes for needy boy’s children in need of care & protection and another home for risk boys like traffic victims. Our focus areas of operation are Child Protection through Institutional & Non-Institutional services, Anti-Human trafficking action, Child education, Livelihood development, Water & Community health,

Resources Available

  • Land & Building: Three acre of land along with 5 big buildings [3 storied & 2 storied]. Approx. 50000 sq fit building area. Running one residential shelter Homes for the CNCP & destitute children and accommodation available for 150 boys.
  • Training Hall: 2 no training hall where 200 trainees can be accommodated.
  • Guest rooms: Three separate guest rooms.
  • Computer & internet: 20 Computers with Printers, 24 hours internet connection, camera,
  • One Library with 2560 no Books.
  • Training Machineries & Equipment: Lap top, Projector, Board, Charts, Posters and resource materials collected from different Government and Non-Government Institutions as well as materials prepared by the Society. Equipment like Sewing machines, soft toys making tools, Zari Craft tools, sports equipment etc.
  • Two wheelers: 4 nos
  • Staff & Volunteer: Total 25 No of paid staff along with 07 No of active volunteers.
  • Resource Persons: SHG & micro-finance, Community Medicine, Child Women Right & Protection, Environment & Sustainable Agriculture, Organic farming, Animal husbandry, Disaster Risk Mitigation.

Objectives of the Organization

To reach out poorest and underprivileged section of society for self-reliance

To stop discriminating factor based on caste, creed, sex, class and colour

To create a strong awareness among the local people to solve their local problems through ensuring local resource mobilization

To emphasis on women and child development programmes and women empowerment;

To empower marginalized communities through economic and social development;

To establish and run Home as Specialized Adoption Agency (SAA), home for CNCP, CWSN, Open Shelter, Swadhar Home, Observation Home, Ujjwala Home, cottage home for destitute children and Drug De addiction Centre
