Our organization aims to empower vulnerable communities in the coastal Sundarban region through education, protection, vocational training, and livelihood development, enabling them to become
self-sufficient.
A sapling planted in the remote village of West Bengal has grown up in the last three decades and is now rewriting history of the long-neglected people of the Sundarban region. Started with some young and energetic people in the year 1996 slowly and gradually Noor Ali Memorial Society has become the largest NGO working for the social and educational upliftment of the backward community in the Sundarban Region. I am very grateful to meet with General Meeting for the year 2024-25, the main purpose of our institution is to solve the Socio- economic problems of poor & lower classes people of our society. Most of the villagers are living in the darkness of ignorance. They are in worse condition. The aims and objects of our institution are to solve unemployment, to remove poverties,’ to improve education, to improve awareness generation by seminars and camps, training and medical treatment with the direct help and co-operation of all members of the society and State Govt. Central Govt. various GO’s and NGO’s Organisation.
In this view the institution has already been submit the various types of development projects to Govt. of West Bengal, Govt. of India, various funding agencies, Central Social Welfare Board, etc. for develop to the target groups of people specially SC / ST& Others backward community people. They are always neglected and deprived by the society in these Blocks— Kakdwip, Patharpratima, Namkhana, Kulpi, in the District of South 24 parganas.
I am thankful to the District Magistrate, Addl. District Magistrate (Dev) and Addl. District Magistrate (LA), South 24 parganas, the Sabhadhipati, South 24 pgs. the B.D.O. of Kakdwip Development Block, and Prodhans of all the G.Ps. of our project areas for their heartiest co-operation to implement the developmental and Income Generation programme and also thankful to Women & Child Development Dept. Govt. of West Bengal, Child Welfare Committee and Juvenile Justice Board of South 24 parganas, Minority Affairs & Madrasah Education Dept., CASA of Kolkata and others similar organization for coming forward with their financial help for the sanctioned projects related to the rural development. I convey my thankful gratitude to the Ministries & Officials of the State and the Central Govt. related to the rural dev. No words are sufficient for expressing my gratitude to my friends, dedicated members and executive members of the society, enthusiastic workers of the society, carrying nothing of the hardies in this way.
Thanks to all who have come forward and welcome to all who will come in future still there is a long way to go. We know that the task ahead of us is not easy to accomplish. But we believe we can build a better society as the almighty is always with us.
